Support Worker/Personal Assistant – Selkirk
A gentleman in Selkirk is looking for a personal assistant to help ensure all his personal care needs are met in a safe and efficient manner, support with evening personal careroutine in particular.
He is also looking for personal assistants to spend time with him for a few hours throughout the week to give his wife a break from her caring role.
- Terms
- Hours of work: Total of 9.5 hours per week as listed below
- Evening Visit: 3.5 hours per week (30 minutes per day)
- Social/respite: 6 hours per week – specifics to be discussed with client.
- Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata.
- Probationary period of 6 months.
- Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership.
Job Description
- Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- To support client to ensure their safety and well-being.
- To support with evening personal careroutine as/when required.
• To support with general care needs including
- Personal care assistance, medication prompts.
- Meal and drink preparation.
- To develop a positive relationship with the client and work as part of a team.

- Patient and cheerful.
- Reliable and trustworthy.
- Ability to use your own initiative.
