Support Worker/Personal Assistant – Selkirk

An elderly lady with mobility issues who lives in Selkirk is looking for someone who can offer holiday cover for her current PA.

She is looking for a friendly PA to come in 5 times per week at around 5pm to assist her with showering/personal care needs, to reduce the risks of slips and falls.

  • Hours of work: 5 hours per week as listed below: 1 hour per day on Monday-Thursday and Saturday around 5pm.
  • Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata.
  • Probationary period of 6 months.
  • Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership.

Job Description

  • Main Tasks & Responsibilities
  • To support client to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Help removing her compression socks.
  • Assistance getting in and out of the shower.
  • Apply cream to one leg if required.
  • Help putting compression socks back on.
  • Make a cup of tea before leaving.
  • To develop a positive relationship with the client and work as part of a team.

  • Ability to use your own initiative.
