A lady in Selkirk is looking for someone to assist and support her with personal care in the mornings, and meal preparations at a lunchtime/afternoon visit. The role would be perfect for someone who is patient, friendly, and understanding to allow time to mobilise safely and slowly.
Terms:
- Hours per week: 8.75
- Morning visit - (45 mins per day)
- Lunch/Afternoon Visit – (30 mins per day)
- £14.05 per hour
- Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
- Probationary period of 6 months
- Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership
Job Description
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- To support client to ensure their safety and well-being.
- To support with personal care routine with a daily shower/strip wash.
- Carer to apply cream and wrap legs in bandages – training will be given.
- To support with general care needs including medication prompts and meal and drink preparation.
- To develop a positive relationship with the client and work as part of a team.
- To assist and maintain the client’s hygiene to a level suitable to their own standards.
