I am a young woman living at home in Peebles, looking for people to join my small team of carers on a Bank capacity. I require care 24 hours a day so need people that I can really rely on to support my team should anyone require sick or annual leave.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Support with all personal care needs – washing/showering daily.
- Help with cooking and meal preparation throughout the day, ensuring that I have eaten and drunk enough.
- Prompt and assist with taking medication.
- Support around the home – help with laundry, housework, and general running of the home along with assistance with shopping.
- Encouragement and support for social outings, including personal care requirements during these times.
Personal attributes:
- Kind, with a genuine caring nature.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and confidential.
- Comfortable working within a team and confident to work on their own initiative.
- Happy to work alongside cats as I have four.
Hours of work:
- Shifts are 7am-2pm, 5pm-10pm, and sleepovers are 10pm-7am.
- £14.00 per hour for day shifts and sleepovers are paid at £120 per shift.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave calculated on a pro-rata basis.
This is a female only post and is an occupation requirement permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equalities Act 2010. A full driving license is required. PVG check required.
