A lovely gentleman, living at home with his wife in Preston, is looking for a PA/PA’s to offer him some companionship on an ad-hoc basis.
The role would involve spending time with the gentleman in his own home whilst his caring wife has a respite break.
This may be for a block of a couple of hours at a time but there are no set days and times to be arranged with the client directly.
There is no personal care involved in this role.
Terms
- Hours per week: various – casual contract.
- Hours of work: Mostly weekends with the occasional Thursday
- Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
- Probationary period of 6 months
- Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership
- Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- To support a client within their own home and to help to ensure their safety and well-being
- To provide companionship to the client.
- To support with general care needs as required such as snacks, drink and meals.
- To maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the client’s equipment and surroundings
- To develop a positive relationship with the client and his family.
- To interact with the client and keep them entertained with activities they enjoy, primarily in the home.
