I am a young woman living at home in Peebles, looking for a person to join my small team of carers. I require care 20 hours a day so need people that I can really rely on to support me.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- I require support with all my personal care needs – support with washing/showering daily.
- I need help with all cooking and meal preparation throughout the day, ensuring that I have eaten and drunk enough.
- I need someone to prompt and assist me when taking my medication.
- I require support around my home – help with laundry, housework and the general running of my home along with assistance with the shopping too.
- I need encouragement and support if I choose to go out socially and need someone who can help with any personal care requirements during these times too.

Hours of work
- Shifts are 7am – 2pm and 5pm – 10pm.
- Sleepovers are 10pm-7am.
- I need someone every Wednesday and Friday from 5pm-10pm and also for one full weekend a month.
The terms
- £14.00 per hour for day shifts and £120 for a sleepover.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave calculated on a pro-rata basis.
- This is a female only post and is an occupation requirement permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equalities Act 2010.
