A lady living in Jedburgh is looking for a kind and reliable Personal Assistant to join her experienced support team. She has autism and a learning disability and receives one-to-one 24-hour support, including sleepovers. You would work from a weekly rota alongside her existing team. The role focuses on providing encouragement and support to help her maintain a healthy lifestyle, take part in local community activities, and continue developing her independence and confidence.
She enjoys puzzles, crafts, music, dancing, and playing pool, as well as attending a country dancing group with her mum, who plays an active part in her support.
A full driving licence is essential, as the client uses her own car to attend activities and appointments. Full training and shadowing will be provided before starting, including catheter care training from District Nurses.
