I am a 60-year-old woman living in Gattonside with my partner, and I'm looking for a kind, outgoing and reliable Companion/Personal Assistant to support my wellbeing and keep me company.
I have PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy), a neurological condition which affects my mobility, coordination and speech.
I'm looking for someone who can bring a bit of fun and positivity to my week, keep me stimulated with lots of conversation and interaction, and help me enjoy getting out and about.
- What you'll be doing
- Supporting my wellbeing and helping to keep me safe.
- Providing patient and supportive assistance with eating and drinking to help reduce the risk of choking.
- Providing assistance with toileting.
- Making sure I am included in conversations and activities.
- Supporting me to get out in my wheelchair and enjoy the fresh air.
- Taking me into nearby Melrose for a walk around and perhaps a bite to eat.
- Spending time doing things I enjoy, such as hand massages and having my nails painted.
- Most importantly, being good company and helping me have an enjoyable time.
No moving and handling is required for this role, although assistance with toileting will be required.

- Hours of Work
- Every Friday lunchtime, 12.00pm – 2.00pm
- Alternate Sundays, 12.00pm – 5.00pm, starting from Sunday 2nd August
- Times are flexible for the right person
