A gentleman client in Hawick is looking for some support for a few hours a week to help promote their independence and support with shopping, meal planning, and budgeting. Assistance with showering support is also required to ensure safety getting in and out and to provide confidence with this task. Help with getting out and about in the community is another task to enhance and promote independence and confidence going forward, as well as support to appointments in the town.

Terms

  • Hours per week: 4.50
  • Days and hours schedule to be discussed with potential applicants
  • £14.05 per hour
  • Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
  • Probationary period of 6 months
  • Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership

Job Description Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • To support the client to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • To support with personal care routine as/when required.
  • To support with general care needs including:
  • Medication prompts
  • Shower support
  • Meal and drink preparation
  • Support with travelling into town for shopping or attending appointments.
  • To develop a positive relationship with the client and promote independence and encouragement.
