A delightful gentleman in Hawick is looking for a personal assistant to help ensure all his personal care needs are met in a safe and efficient manner. Support with morning and evening personal care routine in particular and also catheter care management. Equipment is also in place to assist with transfer and repositioning needs throughout the visits too.

Terms

  • Hours per week: 8.75 Hours
  • Hours of work: Morning visit – 45 mins per day, 7 days a week
  • Evening Visit – 30 mins per day, 7 days a week
  • £13.20 per hour
  • Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
  • Probationary period of 6 months
  • Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership

Job Description Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • To support client to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • To support with personal care routine in the morning and evenings.
  • Support with general care needs including:
  • Personal care assistance, medication prompts
  • Catheter care management.
  • An Arjo steady in place to assist with all sit to stand transfers, a profile bed and a rise and recliner chair also present to help with all transfer and repositioning needs throughout the day.
  • To develop a positive relationship with the client and work as part of a team.
