I am a gentleman who lives in Hawick with my wife. I am looking for a cheerful and supportive person to assist me with personal care/showering on Saturday and Sunday morning. I require full support to shower and dress as I am unable to use my hands fully. I am very sociable and have varied interests.
Duties to Include:
- Full support to shower and get dressed.
- Clean my teeth and have a daily shave.
- Change my catheter bag.
- Attend to any other needs as required during each visit.
The Person Required:
- You will be encouraging and supportive.
- You will be honest, trustworthy and reliable.
- You will respect my need for privacy and confidentiality.
- You will have a good sense of humour and be able to use initiative.
- You will work well on your own, but also as part of a small team.
- You will be sensitive to the issues living with a disability can bring.
- You will be respectful of my home, and considerate of the shared living space with my family.
Hours of Work:
1 hour in the morning around 9am. Saturday and Sunday. A degree of flexibility can be given for the right person.
The Terms of the Role:
£13.70 per hour. Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata. Subject to satisfactory references.
