A gentleman living at home in Galashiels needs a patient, friendly, outgoing PA to support with daily routines which include 4 visits per day: morning, lunchtime, teatime, and bedtime. Experience of moving and handling preferred. Would suit PAs looking for ad hoc hours, with days/times to suit.
Job Description
- Transfer out of bed, catheter care, assist to wash, dry and dress
- Toileting when required
- Assist with medication
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, tea with fluids
- Assist to undress, personal care and change into nightwear
- Transfer into bed
Person Specification
- Kind and caring, sensitive to the client’s needs
- Patient and cheerful

- Ability to use your own initiative
- Ability to work sensitively in a home setting respecting the client’s right to privacy and to always maintain professional standards of confidentiality
Hours per week: 14.00
- Mornings x 7 for 1 hour per visit
- Lunchtime x 7 for 15 minutes each visit
- Teatime x 7 for 15 minutes per visit
- Bedtime x 7 for 30 minutes per visit
Times can be flexible and to suit both parties.
Terms:
- £13.50 per hour
- Mileage negotiable
- Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
