A friendly and energetic 6-year-old boy living in Tweedbank is looking for a caring, proactive Personal Assistant to support him with fun and engaging activities at home and in the community. Support will include activities such as baking, water play, playing in the garden, visiting the park, bike rides, and occasional trips out for treats such as McDonald’s. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with children and ideally has experience and an understanding of learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The focus of the role is to provide a safe, supportive environment while encouraging confidence, independence, and positive social experiences.

Hours of Work

  • Mondays (after school): 3:00pm – 5:00pm
  • Weekends: 3–4 hours on either Saturday or Sunday (flexible and to be agreed)
  • Additional hours may be available for the right person

Pay & Conditions

  • £13.85 per hour
  • Mileage paid at 45p per mile / expenses covered when out with the client
  • 5.6 weeks paid annual leave (pro rata)
  • 6-month probationary period
