Terms:

  • Hours of work: Saturday and Sunday mornings from 7am for 3 hours at a time, with future flexible days and times to be discussed with the employer.
  • £14.85 per hour.
  • Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata.
  • Probationary period of 3 months.
  • Post subject to successful reference checks and PVG.

Job Description

  • To support this gentleman to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • To support with personal care needs, including catheter care.
  • To maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the client’s equipment and surroundings.
  • To develop a positive relationship with the gentleman and his family.
  • To work alongside another member of the team when required but to work independently too.

Personal Attributes
  • Kind and caring, sensitive to the client’s needs.
  • Patient, reliable and trustworthy.
  • Ability to use your own initiative.
  • A good communicator with a chatty, cheerful personality.
  • Ability to work sensitively in a home setting respecting the client and family’s right to privacy and to maintain professional standards of confidentiality.
Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of moving and handling and first aid would be desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
  • Experience is not essential for a candidate with the right personal attributes, but they should be able to show some suitability for the role.
  • Due to the location, a driver would be essential for this role.
