A lovely woman who lives at home with her family in Eyemouth is looking for a PA who can offer her some daily support. She requires support due to living with constant pain and impact mobility due to this pain and muscle spasms. She is the main support for her husband and son and is looking for someone who can be flexible with support for herself. Ideally, the candidate would be able to support her for around 1 hour in the afternoon to enable her to prepare a family meal and, if required, support to get washed and dressed. Her needs differ daily depending on her health and therefore there needs to be a degree of flexibility within the role.

Terms

  • Hours per week: Up to 8.75
  • Hours of work: shifts around 1.25 hours each afternoon
  • £14.85 per hour
  • Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
  • Probationary period of 6 months

Requirements:

  • Post subject to satisfactory references and PVG Scheme membership

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised support with daily living activities to promote the client’s independence, including:
    • Assistance with showering and personal hygiene
    • Support with dressing
    • Assist the client in preparing family meals in line with her preferences and routines
    • Support to carry out general household tasks to help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
    • Ensure the client’s safety, comfort, and overall wellbeing at all times
    • Build and maintain a positive, respectful, and trusting relationship with the client and her family
    • Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and high standards of conduct in all aspects of the role
