A gentleman, living at home with his wife in Eyemouth, is looking for a Personal Assistant(s) to join his small team to offer him some support with his personal care in the evening each day and at alternative weekend mornings (end of each even week of the year). The role would involve support with washing, dressing and continence management.

Terms

  • Hours per week: up to 3.5 hours
  • Hours of work: daily visits around tea time for 30-minutes plus alternate weekend mornings 30-minutes around 10/10.30am
  • £14.05 per hour
  • Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
  • Probationary period of 6 months
  • Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership

Job Description Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • To support a client to help ensure their safety and well-being.
  • To support with personal care needs, including:
    • Support with showering and wash downs.
    • Support with changing and dressing.
    • Support to apply prescribed creams and dressings.
    • Support with continence management.
  • To develop a positive relationship with the client and his family.
  • To support to maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the client’s equipment and surroundings.
  • To work as part of a team alongside family to ensure care needs are met.
