Carer/Personal Assistant - Duns
A family in Duns require the support of a Personal Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a young girl to allow her caring mother to have a break on a weekly basis.
The client has some complex health care needs and requires someone who is an experienced carer to support her to manage these when with her.
The client would like support to enjoy hobbies such as swimming, going to the park, playing games, playing dolls and using the i Pad.
She would also enjoy going to a local café, for a drive in the car or on the train.
- Terms
- Hours per week: Up to 2 hours (flexible, days/times to be agreed at interview)
- Social mileage up to 0.45p per mile
- Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
- Probationary period of 3 months
- Post subject to references and PVG scheme membership
Job Description
- Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- To support the client to ensure their safety and well-being.
- To support with personal care needs as required which may include support with continence management.
- To support with general care needs such as eating and drinking.
- To develop a positive relationship with the young person and their family.
- To interact with the client and support them to attend activities in their home and local community
- To work alongside a parent or another member of the team when required but to work independently too
