I’m a lady who lives in Galashiels. I’m looking for a personal assistant to motivate and support me with tasks in the home that I find difficult. I would like a PA to look after my wellbeing and keep me safe whilst encouraging as much independence as possible in and out my home.
Initially it will be building up the trust between us so I’m comfortable with you helping me.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Support and encouragement to keep flat tidy
- Support with self-care and check medication has been taken
- Escort and support in the community to reduce isolation
Personal attributes
- Previous experience/background working within the mental health sector
- Kind and empathetic
- Practical and a good communicator
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Ideally, a driver with Business Insurance
Hours of work (Flexible)
- 5 hours per week to be mutually agreed
- Times/days can be discussed with suitable candidates
The terms
- £13.00 per hour
- Mileage 40p per mile when out with the client
- Social expenses paid when out with the client
- 5.6 weeks annual leave on a pro rata basis
