The opportunity has come up to support a lovely young lady in Chirnside who is 14 years old, with her morning and evening routine a couple of days each week. She needs support with her personal care both morning and evening from Sunday night through to and including Tuesday morning. Although her morning times are more set with 1.5 hours from 7am till 8.30am due to needing to get her to school, evening times can be more flexible. She is quadriplegic and has significant respiratory health needs which training can be provided for. Dad can give more in-depth information to any successful applicants.

Job Description Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- To support a disabled young person to ensure their safety and well-being
- To support with personal care needs including:
- Shower/bath support
- Complex care support
- Continence support
- Support to dress and complete morning and evening routines
- Administration of medication and following medical routines and procedures

Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of moving and handling would be desirable but not essential
- First Aid training: can be provided if necessary
- An awareness of infection control measures: training can be provided
- Experience is not essential for a candidate with the right personal attributes, but they should be able to show some suitability for the role
