Personal Assistant / Support Worker – Chirnside
A caring, reliable, and compassionate Personal Assistant issoughtto provide morning support to an elderly lady living in Chirnside.
This rewarding role involvesassistingwith personal care and helping the client start her day comfortably, safely, and with dignity.
The successful candidate will provide practical support with morning routines, ensuring the client’s wellbeing and comfort while promoting a calm and respectful environment.
The client does not speak English; however, her son lives at the property and speaks English fluently, providing support with communication whererequired.

- Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assistthe client with getting out of bed safely.
- Provide support with washing, dressing, and personal care.
- Assistwith continence care and dispose of continence products appropriately.
- Change bedding whenrequiredand make the bed.
- Prepare and serve breakfast.
- Prompt the client to take prescribed medicationand to drink water
- Ensure a drink is left within easy reach before leaving.
- Promote the client’s comfort, dignity, and wellbeingat all times.
- Build a positive and respectful working relationship with the client and her family.

- Working Pattern: Daily, with the exact start time to be agreed with the employer.
- Rate of Pay: £14.05 per hour.
- Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata.
- Probationary Period: 6 months.
- Appointment: Subject to satisfactory references and PVG / Disclosure Scotland check.
