Senior Support Worker required to join our Team at Encompass Care. Do you have a genuine passion for helping others and making a difference in people's lives?   • Hours: up to 37.5 hours per week
  • Pay: £13.04 and increasing to £13.48 after passing probation and obtaining a care certificate.
  • Contract type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide service cover and support in all areas as required by the Service Manager, Area Team Leader and Team Leader
  • To manage a team that has required competencies and capabilities to meet the needs and expectations of the people we support.
  • Be aware of the standards for delivering high quality services to the people we support.
  • To ensure confidentiality and effective governance including safeguarding protocols are followed in the services.
  • Provide high-quality care and support to people in the setting. This may include but is not limited to personal care, meal preparation, administering medication, support out in the community and housekeeping.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with people, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure a safe, compassionate environment.
  • Effective communication both verbally and written.
  • Record and report any changes in the people we support's needs or conditions.
  • To treat all colleagues with equal respect regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
  • To be aware of and to comply with all Encompass policies and procedures.

  • Flexible to work a rotation of day shifts, depending on the needs of the service including alternate weekends.
