Key Responsibilities
- Provide service cover and support in all areas as required by the Service Manager, Area Team Leader and Team Leader
- Manage a team with required competencies to meet the needs and expectations of the people we support
- Apply standards for delivering high-quality services to the people we support
- Ensure confidentiality and effective governance, including safeguarding protocols are followed
- Provide high-quality care and support – personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, community support and housekeeping
- Build strong, positive relationships with people, promoting their independence and well-being
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure a safe, compassionate environment
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Record and report any changes in the needs or conditions of those we support
- Treat all colleagues with equal respect, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation
- Comply with Encompass policies and procedures
