Encocam engineering is searching for a Production Operative for our composite panels division (BCP), a division of Encocam LTD, to work in our Huntingdon factory in Cambridgeshire. We make Aluminium Honeycomb Composite Panels that are used in a wide variety of products due to their lightweight yet durable structure. This includes panels for railway carriages, vacuum and pallet tables for the printing industry, as well as composite panels for various industrial purposes and in the marine industry. The Composite Panels can also be used for architectural effect especially when sandwiched between different coloured polycarbonate skins.

Role Description

As a production operative you will be assisting in the manufacture of all these products, and any other custom orders that BCP receives. To assist in the manufacture of Bespoke Composite Panels as well as the production of vacuum and architectural products.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Ensure a professional, quality service (external and internal) is provided at all times throughout the various stages of production.
  • Be conversant with and adhere to the Company's Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and all other Company Rules and Policies.
  • Undertake cleaning, loading and unloading of machines.
  • Undertake training in the production of vacuum and architectural products.
  • Meet quality standard and meet targets required.
  • Completion of routine department paperwork and adhering to administrative and quality and technical procedures.
  • Understanding of computers is required.
  • Work on own without supervision and have a flexible approach to work situations.
  • Some heavy lifting required.
  • Undertake counter balance (forklift) truck training if required.
  • You may be required to train other colleagues as and when requested.
  • Any additional work identified as necessary for the smooth operation of the business.
