Encocam engineering are looking for a new Production Engineer for Cellbond at our production site in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing engineering support for the various products we manufacture alongside the Chief Production Engineer.
  • Supporting projects from concept to completion.
  • Liaising with the Production and Maintenance departments to understand and prioritise engineering support.
  • Ensuring new designs or modifications to existing equipment are verified and validated before hand over to production.
  • Developing the ability to estimate project delivery dates, ensuring that all stakeholders are kept informed of progress.
  • Producing technical drawings, reports and presentations for internal and external use (work instructions, job packs, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting machinery malfunctions that occur during production.
  • Understanding production processes and suggesting ways to improve efficiency.
  • Researching and investigating technologies and processes to ensure that the company remains aware of latest developments.
  • Assisting the emergency chemical spill team to ensure a smooth and safe evacuation of premises, and to maintain the emergency chemical spill procedure/plan.
  • Co‑operating fully with the company regarding all H&S matters, complying with the H&S Policy to ensure a safe workplace and maintain environmental integrity.
  • Training other colleagues as and when requested.
  • Performing any additional work identified as necessary for the smooth operation of the business.
