We are looking for a time-served Mechanical Engineering Technician (Shift Fitter) to join our busy 24/7 manufacturing site at Encirc Elton. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for keeping our plant and equipment running safely and reliably. You'll tackle breakdowns, carry out planned maintenance, fault-find mechanical issues and make sure problems are Fixed 4 Life - not just patched up.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Carry out reactive and planned mechanical maintenance.
  • Fault-find and repair equipment to component level.
  • Work on gearboxes, conveyors, valves and process machinery.
  • Read mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings.
  • Welding, bench fitting and mechanical repairs.
  • Support continuous improvement and root cause problem-solving.
  • Respond to engineering issues during out-of-hours production.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Time-served Mechanical Engineering qualification Level 3 / ONC / City & Guilds.
  • Manufacturing maintenance experience, ideally in a 24/7 environment.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Experience with conveyors, gearboxes and process machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
  • Good communication skills and a 'Fix 4 Life' mindset.
  • HNC/HND, electrical skills, SAP/CMMS experience and RCA/Kaizen knowledge would be a bonus.
