The predicted salary is between 39000 - 41000 £ per year.

The role reports into the Batch & Furnace Manager. The main responsibility for this role is to ensure through best practice operating procedures that the distribution, forehearths and lehrs and all associated equipment are well maintained and operating safely and efficiently. Key accountabilities of the role include the continual monitoring of forehearth operations and timely resolution of any issues.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 0600-1445, Friday 0600-1415 - 39.5 hrs

The Key Requirements

  • Exposure in forehearth operations and glass technology will be highly regarded
  • Process control knowledge
  • Technical background preferred
  • Prior experience working in hot environments and mitigating the associated risks
  • Solid technical understanding of Glass Making process
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
