IS Operator - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (Internal Only)

Job Introduction

IS Operator | 12 Month Fixed Term Contract | Elton | Permanent | £38,000 - £40,500

Shifts: 4 on 4 off, 07:00 - 19:00, 12 hours - after 7 rotations, 18 days off

As IS Operator your main responsibility is to ensure the smooth running of the IS Machine. This will include carrying out all tasks relevant to IS Machine operation, regularly checking bottle sets for defects and potential defects including gauging. You will monitor radar systems and action any process changes and promptly report to supervision any potential or suspected quality defects.

The Key Requirements

• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Understanding of glass manufacturing processes and procedures
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels
• Excellent attention to detail with consistently high quality standards
• Proactive mindset with the initiative to solve problems and take ownership
• Confident working independently as well as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Multi-skilled and adaptable approach to work
• Flexibility to meet changing production demands
• A continuous improvement mindset—always looking for better, safer, more efficient ways of working
