As Cold End Maintenance Fitter, you'll bring strong mechanical skills, a proactive mindset and a commitment to keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently. You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, you'll take pride in maintaining high standards of quality, reliability and safety.
You’ll work closely with a team of fitters, electricians and equipment specialists to ensure the plant continues to operate efficiently and production quality remains at the highest standard.
- Supporting the smooth running of the plant by carrying out preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs across a range of production machinery.
- Responding quickly to breakdowns, maintaining equipment to ensure optimum performance and working from manufacturer drawings where required.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with Food Safety, Health & Safety and operational procedures.
- Identifying opportunities to improve maintenance processes and reduce future downtime.
Qualifications:
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent (City & Guilds, ONC, HNC or HND) in a relevant discipline.
- Proven practical engineering fitting experience with a strong track record in maintenance (5+ years preferred).
- Experience working within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong fault-finding and preventative maintenance experience on production equipment.
- Competent in fabrication and welding (ARC and MIG).
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and support continuous improvement.
