Batch & Furnace Chargehand | Elton | Permanent | £32,000 – £36,000 As Batch & Furnace Chargehand, you\’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient running of the batch plant and furnace areas. Your duties will include ensuring daily checks of both furnaces and all associated equipment, delegation of tasks, the logging and monitoring data, colour measurement and Lab work. You will ensure glass quality standards are maintained at the highest level and inform the Batch & Furnace Manger of all major incidents as and when the arise. The Key Requirements Knowledge & understanding of FLT, bobcat & shovel operations Process control knowledge Technical engineering background is desirable Experience working in a furnace control room or in a hot environment is desirable Encirc produces up to three billion glass bottles and containers each year, many of which you will find in your homes.
