About The Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for maintaining site operations by overseeing engineering and maintenance repairs, handling breakdowns and executing planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Conduct engineering and maintenance repairs on-site, largely for production machinery and some building repairs.
- Fix rollers, small gearboxes and motors, as well as hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Support the team with machinery breakdowns as needed and contribute to maintenance planning.
- Ensure smooth operations across the site as part of a wider maintenance team.
About You
This position is ideal for a candidate with hands-on mechanical experience who is looking for a fantastic career opportunity within an industry-leading organisation, widely known for internal opportunities for both technical and career ladder progression. Experience in a fast-paced environment is desirable but not essential – if you have any mechanical maintenance experience, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Skills or Qualifications
- Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical Maintenance or relevant discipline, or NVQ 3 as a minimum with related industry experience.
- Desirable: Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics or fast-moving production machinery.
