As Plant Manager at the Easter location, you will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Enbridge’s Easter Wind facility. As the senior Enbridge representative on site, you will be accountable for the overall performance of the plant, balancing operational excellence with a strong commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance. You will lead day-to-day operations while fostering a positive, inclusive, and safety‑first culture aligned with Enbridge’s values and expectations.

What You Will Do

  • Lead safe and reliable operations by managing all operational and maintenance activities for wind turbines and Balance of Plant (BOP) assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., NERC, CIP, FAA) and Enbridge safety standards.
  • Champion a strong safety culture by ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures, overseeing contractor and partner performance, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting and investigation of safety incidents and metrics.
  • Manage people and contractors on site, including daily supervision, site orientations, performance oversight, and effective engagement with service providers, landowners, and internal stakeholders.
  • Execute asset maintenance and integrity plans, ensuring all preventive, corrective, and major maintenance activities are planned, scheduled, tracked, and completed to Enbridge standards using systems such as MAXIMO.
  • Oversee compliance and operational excellence, conducting audits, monitoring performance, managing lost production, and proactively addressing operational issues in collaboration with operations, engineering, and asset management teams.
  • Drive financial performance and accountability by developing and managing the facility’s budget, forecasts, P&L reporting, explaining variances, managing procurement and work orders, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency.
  • Provide clear reporting and leadership visibility, delivering accurate facility performance, safety, environmental, and financial reporting, and representing Enbridge as a trusted, responsible partner in the operation of the facility.

What You Bring

  • Related university degree and seven-plus years’ experience OR nine-plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a Passport.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience including 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong electrical systems knowledge preferred, with ability to troubleshoot SCADA, substations, collection systems, and met towers; wind generation plant experience considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, ability to perform calmly under pressure, and strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capability.
  • Proven people leadership, contract administration experience, and ability to build effective relationships with employees, contractors, landowners, municipalities, and community stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and integrity, customer‑focused mindset, willingness to learn Enbridge systems and processes, and digital proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Oracle.

Working Conditions

This role will require being on‑call (24/7) to respond to emergencies and/or maintenance needs of the site (on a pre‑determined, scheduled basis). Plant Manager must reside within 75 miles of the site due to on‑call requirements. Travel may be required from time to time both within the United States and Canada (approximately 10‑20%).

The successful candidate will undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to a 5‑year driving record, criminal check, and a company‑sponsored medical and drug testing.

Physical Requirements

Must meet requirements of fit for work which includes, but is not limited to, demonstrating hand, arm, back and leg coordination needed to ascend and descend a wind tower and comply with a weight restriction of 132 kg (or 290 lb) total climbing weight. Comfort with completing physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions and comfort working in enclosed spaces and at heights of 300 ft. Employee understands that these requirements may be modified at the Company’s discretion. Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect colour coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand sophisticated problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, coordinate and prioritize work schedule on a short‑term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and connect with individuals via telephone.
