Our client is a leading construction materials group in the UK. Due to expansion, they are looking for a Maintenance Electrician / Engineer to work out of their sites across Northwest Wales as part of their Operations Team. As a Maintenance Electrician/ Engineer with our client, you’ll work alongside our maintenance and operations teams. You’ll enjoy problem-solving and working to identify the root cause of electrical defects and breakdowns, offering solutions to problematic equipment. You'll aim to resolve problems in a time-efficient and safe manner. You’ll help the wider maintenance team identify and support preventative maintenance activities across all our aggregate and civils sites in North West Wales. Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for developing a preventative maintenance system and carrying out planned maintenance activities to ensure our plants operate safely and reliably.
- You will also play a key 'hands-on' role in the planning and implementing plant improvements.
- You will need to be able to find faults quickly, respond to unplanned plant shutdowns, and work closely with other team members and contractors as required.
- Travel between sites will be required - so driving licence is a must.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- A qualification or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge and experience of a heavy industrial environment.
- PLC and VSD Experience (desirable).
- Good working knowledge of electrical LV isolation.
- 18th Edition Wiring regulation BS7671 Certification.
- Good understanding of Electrical maintenance methods & techniques.
- Knowledge & experience of medium/high voltage networks, including switching methods.
- A working knowledge of BS7671 inspection & testing - qualifications in this area would be desirable.
- A sound working knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment regulations.
- Computer literate.
- A full UK Driving Licence.
Salary and Hours
- Days initially.
- Basic Wage between £38,000 - £45,000.
- Overtime and Call out allowance if required.
