Category Manager / Procurement Manager - up to £60k per annum - Worthing (Hybrid 2 days in the office)

About You

We're looking for an experienced procurement professional with a strong background in category management and strategic sourcing.

To be successful, you'll demonstrate experience in

  • Managing the full procurement lifecycle
  • Developing and executing category strategies
  • Commercial analysis and modelling
  • Delivering procurement activity within regulated or public sector environments
  • Applying the Procurement Act within sourcing activities

Experience within utilities, engineering, infrastructure, maintenance, or asset management procurement would be advantageous, although we're keen to hear from candidates with experience across other regulated sectors.

This position offers the opportunity to manage a broad portfolio of operational and asset-related categories, delivering strategic procurement projects that have a direct impact on business performance.

Working alongside engineering and operational teams, you'll influence sourcing decisions, build long-term supplier partnerships, and help shape procurement strategy across the organisation.

  • What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Delivering end-to-end sourcing projects, from market engagement through to contract award.
  • Creating and implementing category strategies that deliver commercial value and support business objectives.
  • Managing regulated tender processes and complex procurement programmes.
  • Developing commercial approaches, evaluation criteria, and innovative sourcing solutions.
  • Leading supplier negotiations to secure the best value and service outcomes.
  • Building trusted relationships with key stakeholders across engineering and operational functions.
