They are on the lookout for a proactive, organised and delivery focused Development Officer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. If you understand the residential construction process, love seeing a project go from a blueprint to a finished home and pride yourself on project coordination, this role is for you.
This role would suit somebody with a few years experience within a development office, either as a Development Assistant looking for the next step or a Development Officer looking for a new environment and challenge.
What will you be doing?
- You will be the vital link that takes their housing schemes from contract exchange right through to the moment residents get their keys.
- This is a hands on, variety packed role where you will:
- Get out on site, attend progress meetings alongside their Clerk of Works, keeping a close eye on milestones, costs and quality.
- Keep projects on track by coordinating daily with developers, contractors and consultants to make sure construction runs smoothly.
- Master the handover and help manage practical completion inspections and support internal teams as new homes are occupied.
- Champion new build aftercare by acting as the main point of contact during the defects period to ensure any post completion issues are sorted quickly for their residents.
The essential skills and experience:
- Experience in housing development, residential construction or a related property field.
- Experience working for a housing association, local authority or private developer.
- A strong understanding of the construction process and project delivery stages.
- Great stakeholder management skills and you know how to talk to contractors, consultants, and internal teams alike.
- A full UK driving licence (essential for site visits).
Salary: £38,500.00 per year + excellent benefits
Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Hybrid working 3 days in 2 days from home (after probation)
Must have UK driving license and own vehicle.
