The role is responsible for the build and maintenance of complex cloud infrastructure solutions for our clients.
As a central part of a cross-functional team, the role is expected to own the design and implementation of robust, secure and scalable cloud environments from initial planning through to continuous operation. Bridging the gap between traditional infrastructure and modern software development practices, the role can both write code and understand complex distributed systems. Therefore, they must be comfortable working with Infrastructure as Code, automation tools and have good experience of at least one mainstream programming language.
The role will usually be surrounded by a team of people in other supporting roles; however, part of being a consultant means that close collaboration and frequent communication with customers is to be expected.
In addition to their teammates, the Cloud / DevOps Engineer is supported by our engineering and delivery communities which enable them to leverage the skills and experience of a wider set of practitioners.
