Commercial Business Analyst (Senior Consultant)
London (Hybrid)
The Role
This is a Business Analyst role with a commercial lens: you wake up asking why this is being built. On new-world engagements, every Enablis build must tie to cost, profitability or an organisational OKR — and produce a number the client's CFO can defend. You own that number. On established engagements, you bring the same rigour to classic BA work: requirements, process analysis, and keeping delivery honest about the business outcome.
You’ll work across Assess and Build engagements alongside Delivery Leads and Forward Deployed AI Engineers. Your outputs — value cases, baselines, benchmarks and benefit evidence — become the reusable proof points our business development takes to market.
What You'll Be Doing
- Baselining how work happens today: cost, volume, errors and time — the starting point every value claim is measured against
- Building quantified business cases: best-case versus realistic value, with sensitivity analysis on the assumptions
- Modelling realised value, not just potential: adjusting for adoption, effectiveness and integration, because potential value routinely overstates by multiples
- Making build-vs-buy calls: what to buy, what to build, and why
- Connecting every build to the client's OKRs and board-level metrics — translating cycle-time wins into cost and margin
- Tracking benefits against baseline through pilots, so “does it pay?” gets answered with evidence
- Contributing to go / adjust / stop decisions — including making the honest case to stop
- Classic BA work on established engagements: requirements elicitation, process analysis and documentation that keeps complex delivery grounded in business outcomes
- Turning engagement evidence into reusable value benchmarks, calculators and proof points for future work
What We're Looking For
- A strong business analysis foundation: requirements elicitation, process mapping, structured interviews, workshops, and crisp written synthesis
- Business case and financial modelling skills: benefits identification, quantification and realisation tracking
- Analytical rigour with imperfect data — producing a number a team can defend without direct CFO access, and being honest about its confidence bounds
- Commercial awareness: how consulting engagements are priced, scoped and protected from drift
- Confident communication with senior stakeholders, up to board level
- Enough AI literacy to challenge feasibility claims and understand what drives adoption of AI tools
- An instinct for spotting and scoping the next opportunity from a problem lens — your analysis is also our pipeline
