Are you ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young individuals and deliver positive person centred outcomes for people with complex support needs who rely on our services? You will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to your role, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.
Where you’ll be working:
Two fantastic women share a home in Ringwood and seek a warm, energetic female support worker to join their small, friendly team. Support is required 24/7 in the home, with additional 1:1 hours with each woman during the week and at weekends. They love music, arts & crafts, fun activities and time with positive, lively people. You will support their routines, promote independence and life skills, maintain hobbies, ensure safety and support in their environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic, great people skills and a positive, proactive approach
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs
- Minimum 12 months of legal right to work
- Flexibility to cover a mixture of day shifts, evenings and weekends
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication using people’s chosen methods
- Good record‑keeping skills and ability to report changes in health or circumstances
Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage people to play active roles in their communities and promote independence
- Support activities of daily living including social activities, personal care, routines, meal planning and budgeting
- Use appropriate communication methods
- Engage and motivate clients to enhance quality of life
- Provide positive behavioural support when required
- Record and report changes in health or circumstances to management
- Work as a team and use initiative where appropriate
Working Hours:
- Tuesday & Thursday; 16:30 – 22:00
- Saturday & Sunday; 07:00 – 22:00
- Sleep shifts: 10:00 PM – 07:00 AM (paid £60 per night)
