This role is to assist the Project Manager and construction manager in project delivery and site engineering/setting out, ensuring safe delivery of the project to time, cost and quality requirements. The role requires experience of using robotic total station, generally line and level control, and the ability and willingness to travel around London and the South East.

  • Key tasks include producing TQs on the design provided, checking materials provided match the design requirements, setting out for the works, checking survey datums daily during works, drafting the ITP’s via the Dashpivot app, checking that the construction teams populating the ITP Checks have been accurate, addressing site issues like buried services, collating the material conformance evidence such as photos of the expiry dates on bags of cement, and producing the redline drawings for the Designer to CAD, then checking the CAD version reflects the red lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager and construction manager in project delivery and site engineering/setting out.
  • Use robotic total station for line and level control and perform general setting out duties on rail & power civil engineering projects.
  • Produce TQs on the design provided and check materials match design requirements.
  • Set out for the works and check survey datums daily during works.
  • Draft ITPs via the Dashpivot app and verify construction teams populating ITP checks are accurate.
  • Address site issues such as buried services and collate material conformance evidence.
  • Produce and review redline drawings for the designer to CAD, ensuring the CAD version reflects the red lines.
  • Report progress and findings to the Enable Engineer.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as Site Engineer or setting out engineer.
  • Setting out using Leica or total station.
  • SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
  • CSCS card.
