We are looking for caring, reliable and motivated Personal Assistants to join our dedicated team in Livingston.
As a Personal Assistant, you will provide person-centred support, helping the people we support to live independently, achieve their personal goals and take part in the activities that matter most to them.
Support may include:
- Personal care and maintaining personal wellbeing
- Medication support where required
- Moving and handling support
- Supporting daily living tasks and household activities
- Accompanying individuals to appointments and social activities
- Promoting choice, independence and inclusion within the community
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to achieve personal outcomes
Let us introduceyou to Craig:
craig is an independent and active person who enjoys having choice, routine and opportunities to be involved in his local community. He values being supported by people who take time to get to know him, understand what matters to him and build a positive, respectful relationship.
The right person will support Craig to remain in control of his own life. Criag communicates well and should be supported by staff who listen carefully, do not speak for him, and provide clear information so he can make informed choices.
Craig would like staff who can offer practical support with everyday life, including planning activities, managing routines, keeping well, looking after his home, attending appointments and staying connected with people who are important to him. Staff should encourage independence while being available when support, reassurance or guidance is needed.
This role would suit someone who is patient, reliable, observant and calm. Craig needs staff who are consistent, encouraging and respectful, and who can support him to make choices, try new things and stay safe without taking over.
A good match for craig will be someone who sees his strengths, promotes his independence and is committed to supporting him to live the life he chooses.
Will you bring your best so Craig can live his best life?
