Are you ready to take the lead and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives? We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to work across our supported living services in the Grantham area, delivering and overseeing high-quality support for individuals with learning disabilities and/or difficulties, autism, and complex needs. In this role, you’ll support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes, promoting choice, control, and inclusion in everyday life. You’ll play a key role in ensuring each person receives tailored, person‑centred support that reflects their goals, preferences, and aspirations. Reporting to the Registered Manager, you’ll divide your time between hands‑on support and leadership or administrative responsibilities. Alongside supporting the individuals, you’ll also provide day‑to‑day guidance and leadership to the staff teams across both services—helping to coordinate shifts, maintain high standards of care, and ensure services run smoothly, safely, and in line with best practice and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to support independence.
- Supporting activities of daily living, including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals, and budgeting.
- Communicating effectively using people’s chosen methods.
- Engaging and motivating individuals to enhance their quality of life.
- Specialising in positive behavioural support approaches where necessary.
- Recording accurate records and reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management.
- Working as part of a team and using your own initiative.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Minimum of 12 months of experience on your right to work.
- Full UK Driver’s licence.
- Level 2 in Health and Social Care and willingness to work towards Level 3.
