We’re working with a long-term client to hire a Head of Technical to lead the build, scale, and performance of a growing digital product ecosystem. This is a senior leadership role with real ownership – you’ll be responsible for how products are delivered, how systems scale, and how engineering, data, and IT come together to drive commercial impact.
The role:
- You’ll sit at the centre of product, engineering, and data – translating roadmap into delivery, and ensuring everything runs reliably, efficiently, and at pace.
- This is not a hands-off leadership role. You’ll be expected to challenge, shape, and improve how things are built, while supporting a team to deliver consistently.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own end-to-end delivery of digital products, features, and platform improvements
- Lead engineering, data, and IT teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
- Translate product roadmap into clear, executable delivery plans
- Drive predictable delivery cadence (velocity, quality, releases)
- Oversee system performance, uptime, integrations, and data flows
- Champion modern practices across DevOps, automation, AI, and CI/CD
- Manage third-party vendors and external delivery partners
- Build and develop a high-performing, accountable technical team
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience leading technical delivery, engineering, or product teams
- Strong understanding of digital product development and architecture
- Ability to operate at both strategic and hands-on level
- Experience delivering complex, client-facing digital platforms
- Comfortable working across engineering, data, and cloud environments
- Strong communicator – able to translate technical into commercial impact
- Experience working in scaling or fast-moving environments
- Exposure to AI, data-led products, or automation tooling
