£30,128.34 per annum plus additional on-call payment

The role

Milltown Community is home to seven residents and a Workshop Day centre, based on a 30 acre site. As Team Facilitator for Milltown Community Workshop, you will lead the learning, skill and employability delivery of ASDAN qualifications for the Workshop attendees. You will be part of the local management team and will work closely with the Team Facilitator for the supported living service which supports the 7 residents who live at Milltown. Milltown Workshop operates Monday - Friday and supports 25 learners working towards individual goals and outcomes. Workshop includes woodwork, crafts, animal care, horticultural therapy and much more in between.

Milltown Community Team Facilitators hold the following key responsibilities:

  • Developing the grounds to meet the needs of the community
  • Developing local stakeholder relationships
  • Managing team of workshop staff
  • Developing curriculum to meet the needs of the workshop attendees
  • Providing line management support to the supporting living service when required

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience working with adults and children with learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism and physical support needs.
  • Experience in using person centred planning techniques in addition to delivering and leading excellent support practices.
  • Strong facilitation skills to encourage staff teams to take ownership and responsibility for the quality of support they deliver.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with the people we support, staff teams, families and external care professionals.
  • Creating and delivering robust service designs, support strategies and risk assessments whilst managing individual budgets.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload whilst working under pressure.
  • SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle for business use.
