About the Role

Personal Assistants (Mental Health Support) play a vital role within Enable. You will support people with learning disabilities and other support needs, helping them achieve their goals and outcomes and ensuring their safety, wellbeing and aspirations are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, moving and handling, and positive behaviour support as required.
  • Assist individuals to develop daily living skills and work towards independent living.
  • Expand clients’ social networks and connections.
  • Collaborate with a bespoke team to meet each person’s support requirements.
  • Support 24/7 in the Victoria service, providing assistance to up to 13 adults.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • No prior care experience required; values, dedication and transfer skills are welcomed.
  • Ability and commitment to work within a 24/7 service environment.
  • Will need to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of start date.
  • Full-time contributions to a supportive Team environment with a focus on person‑centred care.

Training & Development

  • Fully funded SVQ Health and Social Care qualifications (necessary for SSSC registration).
  • Extensive learning programme including person‑centred approaches, autism awareness, epilepsy awareness, moving and handling, adult and child support, first aid and positive behaviour support.
