About the Role

36 Hours per week
Waking overnight support shift role, working 8pm-8am on a rotational basis.
Enable is an award winning social care charity. Personal Assistants (Support Workers) play the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. They support someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be. Each person we support has different support requirements. As a Support Worker, you may assist them with personal care, moving and handling, or positive behavioural support, while expanding their social networks and connections. Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.
About You
We look for motivated, dedicated individuals with a commitment and desire to support people to get the most out of life. You don't need experience in care; we recruit people based on their values and transferable skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing and comfort of people during overnight shifts.
- Support routines, sleep and any care or clinical needs that arise during the night.
- Provide personal care, moving and handling and positive behavioural support.
- Help expand social networks and connections.
- Work as part of a skilled team to create a calm, safe and responsive environment.
Qualifications
- Commitment and dedication to working with people with learning disabilities and other support requirements.
- Desire to support individuals to get the most out of life.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work 8pm-8am shift on a rotational basis.
- willingness to undergo required training and qualification (e.g., SVQ Health and Social Care if required).
