We have an opportunity for a Health and Safety Officer to join our Health and Safety team based in Eurocentral! The primary function of this role is to be the internal contact for all health and safety related matters. You will support the Health and Safety Manager to develop and deliver a proactive health and safety service. You will also provide competent technical and legal advice to all staff in a multi-site organisation and be responsible for developing and maintaining safety management systems.
You will be providing advice, guidance, assistance and support to all areas of the organisation in the delivery of:
- Health and Safety Policy
- Health and Safety procedures and Safe systems of work
- Compliance with health and safety legislation
- Conducting Audits, Investigations and Premises visits
- Risk Assessment
- Training
The key experience we require for this role is as follows:
- Experience within a Health and Safety Officer/Advisor role (essential)
- Experience in the social care sector & housing/facilities (desirable)
- Experience of developing, reviewing, implementing and monitoring safe systems of work
- Experience in providing health and safety advice with a knowledge and understanding of health and safety management techniques
- A demonstrable track record of delivering improved standards of safety
- Experience of conducting audits, investigations across a range of work activities
- Experience and knowledge of Fire Risk Assessments
- Experience in designing and delivering H&S training
You must also have:
- A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of current health and safety legislation.
- Up to date professional knowledge through CPD.
- Proficient in IT systems.
- Full driving license with access to a vehicle for business purposes.
- The ability to foster and maintain positive and productive internal and external relationships.
- The ability to develop Health & Safety strategy and policy.
- The ability to develop and deliver training materials.
- The ability to produce statistical information & undertake analysis and associated reports.
- The ability to travel on top of remote working.
- The right to work in the UK.
