Personal Assistants (Support Workers) play a vital role at Enable by making a positive difference in the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants, but you will support someone who requires help to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be. Each person we support has different support requirements, and your role may include assisting them with personal care, moving and handling, positive behavioural support, and expanding their social networks and connections. Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual, and our Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

About Ravenswood

Based in Kirkintilloch, Ravenswood is a residential interim support service for people at risk of or who have experienced homelessness. It’s a safe, supportive environment where people can gain skills and confidence and plan the rest of their lives. You may be required to support people at Ravenswood in the following areas:

  • Mental health
  • Substance use
  • Alcohol use
  • Relationships
  • Budgeting
  • Anger management
  • Other general life skills

We are looking for personal assistants who are open, flexible, non‑judgmental and compassionate.

Key Responsibilities

The Ravenswood Service is looking for enthusiastic Personal Assistants who can think on their feet and help make a real difference to those we support. You will assist with tenancy sustainment skills for up to seventeen individuals in a comfortable, relaxing environment. When people stay with us, they require intense support, and you will also facilitate various leisure activities.
