Do you have a fun, friendly and empathetic character? Are you interested in supporting David and making a real difference in his life?
Let us introduce you to David:
David is a gentleman in his late 20's who enjoys watching and playing football, rock music, animals and spending time with his family. David has been working hard in recent years in preparation for hospital discharge. He has been building on his skills and confidence and recognises that he is ready to have his first own home.
David has a Learning Disability, Autism, and ADHD, as well as several other conditions that can affect his day to day life. David also experienced significant trauma in childhood after entering the care system as a very young child. David can be anxious; however, it helps if he has people around him who he can build a trusting relationship with.
David is looking for a team of Personal Assistants who can support him on this journey and help him to settle back into his community to be close to his family.
Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants, but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting David to achieve his goals and outcomes - whatever they may be!
Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support. David's team of Personal Assistants will work collaboratively to ensure his aspirations, wellbeing and safety are met.
The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me
The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the chance to experience these same opportunities.
A career with Enable is as rewarding as it is diverse. Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.
About You
David likes spending time with people who are friendly, calm, and have a great sense of humour. He would also like it if you could engage with him to develop new hobbies, learn new skills, and lead an active life attending the gym, swimming, or music venues. If you have a similar outlook to David and have the commitment, dedication, and above all, desire to support David to get the most out of life; then please apply now!
Enable needs you and your values to help us create an equal society for people with disabilities. You don't need experience in care to start your social care career with Enable. We recruit people based on their values and transferrable skills. Wherever your journey has taken you up until now, join us, and together we will forge a new path in what could potentially be the most rewarding role you have ever had!
