Are you interested in working for an award winning social care charity? Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone who requires support to achieve their goals and outcomes – whatever they may be!
Each person we support has different support requirements, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections. Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.
The Best in You Brings Out the Best in Me
The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. A career with Enable is as rewarding as it is diverse, Personal Assistants at their best have the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.
Cherrywood is a care home consisting of 2 bungalows next to each other and accommodates 9 service users. We are based in the Elderslie Johnston area. We are out every day and night on outings. We also enjoy short breaks mainly to Centre Parcs, and the guys also enjoy going to the Hydro for different concerts and out for meals. In-house activities include massages, music groups, baking classes and going for walks. We love to sit outside and have lunch there weather permitting.
Help transform lives like S’s. Hello, I’m S and have lived at Cherrywood for the last 14 years. I enjoy staying here as I get to go out on day trips to the seaside, safari, concerts & holidays. We have lots of fun in the project with themed nights and discos where we get to play games and dance to music. Saturday night is our favourite; we like to listen to GBX and have the disco lights on and party. This is also take away night and we have a buffet and fizzy juice.
Cherrywood is looking for enthusiastic Project Workers who can help to make a real difference to the people who live here, and enjoy a busy day as it is a very fast paced service. Are you ready to make a real difference to everyone at the Cherrywood House Project?
