Are you interested in working for an award-winning social care charity? Personal Assistants (Support Workers) play a crucial role within Enable by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants, but you will be supporting someone who requires assistance to achieve their goals and outcomes.
Each person we support has different requirements, so your role may include:
- Assisting with various aspects of personal care
- Moving and handling
- Providing positive behavioural support
- Expanding social networks and connections
Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and aspirations of the people we support are met.
The people we support have varied interests and hobbies and share many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they often do not get the opportunity to experience these. A career with Enable is rewarding and diverse, with Personal Assistants having the potential to truly bring out the best in the people we support.
About You: If you think you share the same interests and have the commitment, dedication, and desire to support each individual to get the most out of life, then please apply now! Enable needs you and your values to help create an equal society for every person we support. You don’t need experience in care to start your social care career with Enable; we recruit based on values and transferable skills.
About Us: Enable is a dynamic organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people with learning disabilities and other support requirements. We are looking for motivated individuals to join us in ensuring they have the same opportunities as everyone else. We believe in developing all our staff and provide an extensive learning programme along with in-house career development opportunities.
We also offer an excellent range of staff benefits, including:
- Health cash plans
- Employee Assistance Programme
- Cycle to Work Scheme
- Season Ticket Loans
- Blue Light Card
Where required, Enable will fully fund SVQ Health and Social Care qualifications necessary for SSSC registration. Enable is an equal opportunities employer, and our recruitment process is based entirely on values, skills, and competencies required for the specific roles.
Please submit your application as early as possible if this vacancy is of interest. Note: The successful applicant will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of their start date.
