Each person we support has different needs, so your role as Personal Assistant may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections. Enable creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.
The people we support have many varied interests and hobbies and have many of the same dreams and aspirations as we do; they just too often do not get the opportunity to experience these same opportunities. You will be working as part of a team in Largs of Personal Assistants supporting people in their new homes for a community of adults who have a range of support needs. There are 22 houses in this complex and each person receives the individualised support they need. Some people will require essential support and maintaining their home, others will require support with accessing the local and wider community - or a combination. Staff are on site 24 hours per day to provide support when required and there are a variety of shifts available. You will be provided with any training required. If you are not local to the Largs area, travel expenses will be paid.
We have 22 residents in Largs. Some of the residents have tremendous social lives and enjoy weekly visits to the Disco, Bowling, Swim Clubs and going to the local pub to watch the football or to have a few games of pool. Some residents prefer to spend time at home watching movies, having a chat and going to do their weekly shop with their staff. The majority of the residents in Largs get essential support which includes preparing meals, administering medication, assistance with finances and housework. The residents all have different capabilities, needs and all staff will be provided with training and support.
